Kistefos – New Entrances
Two new ticket booths aiming to be neither art nor architecture – but something in between
ELEMENT has designed new entrances to the Kistefos Museum sculpture park, one on the north side and one on the south. The entryways operate as a ticket booth and office space for the museum clerk, and both have integrated art from the artist-duo Elmgren & Dragset. When passing through the south entrance, guests are met by the works Points of View Part 1 and Forgotten Babies #2
By the northern entrance the museum clerk sits inside the artwork Warm Regards. The entrances themselves have also been given sculptural qualities, and are made from massive slabs of sandblasted aluminum.
