Seng og Sekund
A soft sculpture bed made from magnificent Fauske mountain rock
ELEMENT assisted the Norwegian artist AK Dolven during the development and design of two sculptures for her solo exhibit as OSL Contemporary. The sculptures were developed to be entered into the Museum Island Competition in Oslo, Between the Mornings, and bringing these to fruition for the exhibit Seng og Sekund is an extension of this collaboration.
Seng, sculpture made from marble
Sekund, kinetic sculpture
Through the exhibit, A K Dolven explores the marvel of time and our existential experience of it. This is a recurring theme in A K Dolven’s work, and physical contact with nature gives us an opportunity to comprehend time as both a phenomenon and as material.
